Biography
Formed in Washington, D.C., the group launched under the name Passionettes and made its first appearance on Calla in 1971 via the single "I Love You for All Seasons." Lead singer Seila Young wrote the track while performing with Barbara Gilliam and Val Williams. That sentimental ballad remained their lone Top 10 entry. The next release climbed to number 14, yet the third single met with far less success, leading the trio to disband shortly afterward.
