Formed in 2013, the soulful and soaring indie folk-pop collective National Parks emerged from Provo, Utah around the talents of Brady Parks, Sydney Macfarlane, Megan Taylor, John Hancock, and Cam Brannelly. Shortly after assembling, the group released its independent debut Young, built on a stirring blend of classical, folk, rock, and pop elements accented by electronic flourishes. With the 2015 sophomore album Until I Live, the band moved beyond the bucolic indie folk of its first effort into a more energetic yet equally mellifluous pop direction that won praise from both critics and listeners. Their third studio long-player, Places, appeared in 2017 on Rock Love Magic Records.
