Biography
Drawing from both literary wellsprings and the strongest traditions of Scottish pop, Glasgow’s the Poems bring together veterans of storied Scottish groups. Robert Hodgens of the Bluebells, Adrian Barry of the High Fidelity, and Bobby Paterson of Love and Money enlisted vocalists Kerry Polwart and Amy Ogletree to complete the lineup. The resulting quintet secured a U.S. deal with Minty Fresh and issued Young America in September 2006. Appearances on the album were supplied by musicians affiliated with Belle & Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, Del Amitri, and the Proclaimers.
