Biography
Aberfeldy, the five-piece indie-chamber pop group based in Edinburgh and drawing its name from a modest Scottish resort village located deep in the Perthshire Highlands, fashions ethereal musical backdrops by merging gentle rhythms, luminous acoustic strumming, and mixed male-female vocal lines behind the plainspoken, heartfelt verses of principal songwriter Riley Briggs. Briggs shares the stage with bandmates Ian Stoddart, Ruth Barrie, Sarah McFadyen, and Ken McIntosh. Their first album, Young Forever, appeared in 2004 through Rough Trade in the States and Sanctuary in the U.K.
