Biography
Formed in 2008 by Florida natives Louis Johnson and Jordan Meredith, the Nashville-based duo known as the Saint Johns fuses open-road Americana with hook-driven guitar pop. The pair first crossed paths at a party, where they stayed awake into the night trading their favorite covers, and soon began writing original songs together. After an initial move to New York City they eventually made Nashville their permanent home. Once their songwriting, recording, and touring abilities were solidly established, they released their debut EP, Open Water, in 2013 on Bailey Blues Music. The resulting critical attention earned them a slot on The Late Show with David Letterman and a contract with Sony imprint Kemosabe Records. Their first studio album, 2016’s Dead of Night, was produced by Grammy Award-winning David Kahne.
