Emerging toward the end of the 2000s, Bronze Radio Return fused blues-inflected roots with infectious alternative pop/rock under the leadership of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Chris Henderson. His warm, soulful rasp guided the band onto the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart via their third full-length, Up, On & Over, issued in 2013.

Born in Belfast, Maine, Henderson launched the group in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2007, close to West Hartford’s Hartt School of Music. He enlisted former classmates Matt Warner on keyboards and samples, Dan Travis on bass, and Rob Griffith on drums, then completed the roster by adding lead guitarist Patrick Fetkowitz. The ensemble began performing across New York and the broader New England region, drawing both listeners and management attention. Their self-titled debut EP appeared in March 2008, followed a year later by the first album, Old Time Speaker.

For the subsequent studio effort, the band traveled to Norman, Oklahoma, once more working with producer Chad Copelin, whose prior credits include Ben Rector and Ivan & Alyosha. The resulting Shake! Shake! Shake! broadened their visibility and secured multiple placements in film and television. Returning to the East Coast alongside Copelin, they delivered Up, On & Over in 2013, marking their first release on the Nashville-based DigSin imprint and their initial Billboard Heatseekers chart entry at number 17.

The band’s uplifting fourth album, Light Me Up—their fourth collaboration with Copelin—arrived on DigSin in 2015. The following year they issued the self-released Live from Brooklyn and Then Some. Shifting to AntiFragile Music, they assembled their fifth studio LP from the EPs Check One and Check Two plus four previously unheard tracks; titled Entertain You, the collection reached listeners in early 2019.
