Biography
The Salads first took the stage together during their high school years in the late 1980s, although wider recognition within the music industry arrived only gradually. The group kept up a schedule of live performances and fresh recordings without making music their sole focus, issuing a self-released cassette in 1996. Their debut album, Meanwhile..., registered on Canada's campus radio charts in 1998. With three of the four members employed as music teachers, the band has encountered few obstacles when carving out time for studio work. Additional touring preceded the release of their seven-song EP, Who's That?, in 2001.
