Biography
Originating in New Jersey, Tony Hussle departed his native state to pursue songwriting success, pausing along the way in New York and Los Angeles. Primarily recognized for his behind-the-scenes role as a leading producer and arranger, he created instrumental tracks for numerous MCs and collectives while also guiding the then-undiscovered Alicia Keys toward the sonic approach that soon secured her Grammy wins. After several years circulating his recordings among major labels, he obtained his initial major opportunity. Released in 2006, his first album Sexy Freaky Electric merged funk and electronic soul as a clear nod to the music that shaped his youth.
