Born in London, Ontario, Trevor Morris has earned recognition as a composer for film, television, and video games, with projects that encompass The Tudors, The Borgias, Pillars of the Earth, and Vikings. From an early age he immersed himself in the arts, and at thirteen he accepted his first paid commission, writing a work for his graduating class to present during Pope John Paul II’s visit to Canada, an assignment that brought him fifty dollars. After finishing at the head of his class at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, he relocated to Toronto, where he refined his abilities in both production and composition before choosing to concentrate exclusively on the latter. His move to Los Angeles, California, led to collaborations with James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer; he later joined Zimmer’s team, accumulating numerous major screen credits in the process. The Emmy he received in 2007 for the theme to the Showtime period drama The Tudors marked the first of several nominations, which also recognized his scores for The Borgias and Pillars of the Earth.
