Biography
Twinemen emerged following the dissolution of Morphine as a three-piece ensemble that also featured singer and songwriter Laurie Sargent. Her path in music started with leading the brief mid-'80s group Face to Face, after which she pursued solo endeavors during the closing years of the 1990s. Joining forces with her were Billy Conway and Dana Colley, who had respectively served as drummer and saxophonist in Morphine until the band's 1999 breakup triggered by the passing of frontman Mark Sandman. In the Boston vicinity, the trio launched their live performances with a regular slot at the Lizard Lounge, which preceded their partnership with Hi-N-Dry for the issuance of their debut record, simply titled Twinemen, during 2002.
