Biography

Vinny first stepped forward as a solo act after playing in several minor bands, issuing his debut album Vinny on Indie Records in 1995, though the project met with little success. Momentum built with the 1997 follow-up Todo Mundo, driven by the national hit “Heloísa, Mexe a Cadeira.” The next record, Na Gandaia, arrived in 1998 and spotlighted the popular track “Shake Boom,” while “Te Encontrar de Novo” also registered as a hit. Vinny took the stage at Rock in Rio III in 2001.
