Warped

The three members of Warped first cultivated their sound in Geelong, a modest Minnesota settlement, where they addressed the hardships of their upbringing “in the middle of nowhere” right from the band’s 1992 launch. Ben supplied guitar and vocals, Nathan handled bass and vocals, and Cris played drums; together they channeled their self-described “copious riffage” alongside a pronounced “serious rockism.” By the time their debut album Slimex appeared in 1995, the musicians averaged 21 years of age and had already shared bills with Dick Dale, Dinosaur Jr., and Wayne Kramer. Two years afterward they issued the EP ...And Then Some.
