Turnstile

Turnstile formed in 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland, as an intense, youth-fueled hardcore punk outfit driven by genuine conviction. The group fuses vintage American hardcore with ferocious, rhythm-rich metalcore in ways that hold up both sonically and in outlook. Vocalist Brendan Yates, bassist Franz Lyons, drummer Daniel Fang, and guitarists Brady Ebert and Sean Cullen made up the initial lineup. They released the EPs Pressure to Succeed in 2011 and Step 2 Rhythm in 2013 before joining Reaper Records for their first full-length, Non Stop Feeling, which appeared in 2015. The following year brought the Move Thru Me EP, containing three new originals plus a cover of “Fu#k Me Blind” by Washington, D.C.’s Give. After signing with Roadrunner, the band issued the acclaimed Time & Space in 2018 as its debut for the label. Three years later came the dynamic Glow On, which featured two psych-pop-tinged tracks with Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange).
