Biography
Incendiary formed as a thrashy, aptly named metalcore outfit from Long Island, New York, drawing from East Coast decibel shredders such as Glassjaw, Vision Of Disorder, and 108. The group has steadily sharpened its uncompromisingly heavy, adrenaline-fueled protest sound since the 2009 release of Crusade, delivering acclaimed albums that fuse classic hardcore punk with neck-snapping metal, among them Thousand Mile Stare (2017) and Change the Way You Think About Pain (2023).
Brendan Garone (vocals), Rob Nobile (guitar), Dan Lomeli (drums), and Brian Audley (guitar) established the band in 2007. They first unveiled their lean and blunt metalcore approach on the Closed Casket Activities-issued Crusade in 2009. Remaining with the New York indie, Incendiary followed with 2013's hard-hitting Thousand Mile Stare and 2017's similarly pugilistic Cost of Living. For their fourth long-player, the band enlisted Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Every Time I Die) to produce the sonically direct and lyrically insightful Change the Way You Think About Pain in 2023.
