Biography
Blending rock, R&B, and the vocal harmonies of classic boy bands, Irish group Wild Youth crafts exuberant pop. Their first EP, 2019's The Last Goodbye, entered Ireland's Top Five.
The four friends David Whelan (vocals/guitar), Ed Porter (guitar/vocals), Conor O'Donohoe (keyboards/vocals), and Callum McAdam (drums) formed Wild Youth in Dublin in 2016 and write collectively. Their debut single, "All or Nothing," appeared in mid-2017; the minor viral hit earned the band opening slots with Zara Larsson and Niall Horan in Ireland. After crossing paths with the Script's Danny O’Donoghue at the 2FM Xmas Ball in late 2017, the group traveled to London to record, enlisting members of the Script as co-writers and co-producers. The follow-up single "Can't Move On" arrived in mid-2018, amassed hundreds of thousands of streams by December, and reached number 59 on Ireland's Top 100. Meanwhile Wild Youth toured Europe supporting Kodaline. "Making Me Dance" soon returned them to the singles chart, and their debut EP, The Last Goodbye, climbed to Ireland's Top Five in early 2019.
