Biography
No Limit Records founder and multiplatinum rapper Master P constructed his operation from street-level beginnings. The path that carried him out of underground acclaim and into mainstream dominance gave him license to assemble and dismantle groups whenever he chose, fueling a polarizing yet highly productive run. During 2000 the 504 Boyz—a shifting lineup drawn from rap and hip-hop standouts such as C-Murder, Silkk the Shocker, Magic, and Krazy, and fronted by Master P—issued their first full-length project, Goodfellas; the set reached platinum status and positioned the crew as a serious contender. Three years later the collective returned with Ballers, which spotlighted fresh additions Choppa and T Bo alongside a guest spot from Lil' Romeo. A separate pressing of that album also appeared with an added DVD.
