Alana Springsteen emerged as a country performer whose expressive vocals and sincere approach to composition led to a publishing agreement while she was still in her mid-teens. Her first EP, titled Alana Springsteen, arrived in 2019. Now in her early twenties, she followed with a pair of linked releases, History of Breaking Up (Part One) in 2021 and its 2022 sequel, History of Breaking Up (Part Two). Columbia Records issued her first full-length project, Twenty Something, the next year.

Raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Springsteen began performing in church services as a child and received her initial guitar at seven. Her uncle introduced chord progressions and playing methods during regular weekend stays. At nine she completed her earliest original song and committed to music as a lifelong pursuit; that same year she performed the national anthem at a Major League Baseball contest, then made her initial trip to Nashville twelve months afterward. At fourteen she relocated to Nashville and secured her debut publishing contract.

While still a teenager she penned material cut by Disney actor Asher Angel, country singer Caitlyn Shadbolt, and additional artists. The 2019 self-titled EP marked her first collection, followed later that year by Acoustic Sessions. Both projects featured the modestly viral single “Always Gonna Love You.”

Upon turning twenty, Springsteen resumed issuing EPs under Columbia Records NY/Sony Music Nashville, starting with History of Breaking Up (Part One) in 2021 and History of Breaking Up (Part Two) the following year. Her debut album, Twenty Something, appeared in 2023 after first surfacing as the companion EPs Twenty Something: Messing It Up and Twenty Something: Figuring It Out. The track “Goodbye Looks Good on You,” which featured Mitchell Tenpenny, was included and peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
