Amplifier

In the early 2000s, Sel Balamir, serving as guitarist and vocalist, established Amplifier in the Manchester area alongside drummer Matt Brobin and bassist Neil Mahony. Their musical direction shares stronger ties to hard rock stalwarts such as Led Zeppelin, the Who, and Silverchair than to the approach associated with Morrissey and Marr. The group delivered its self-titled debut via the Music for Nations imprint in 2004 before issuing The Astronaut Dismantles Hal the next year.
