Anders Ilar

Originating from Sweden, producer Anders Ilar specializes in sounds that inhabit the colder, darker fringes of micro-house and ambient techno. Replik arrived in 2002 on the German label Shitkatapult, presenting itself as a three-track 12-inch oriented around beats and signaling considerable promise. The following year brought Everdom, a standout album also on Shitkatapult, which shifted emphasis toward beatless structures but kept the icy atmosphere intact. Four tracks appeared on the vinyl edition, while the CD expanded to six. Additional work from Ilar includes productions under Outsize on Sweden's Pinesky imprint and under Rend on Germany's Plong.
