Biography
Australian singer and actor Anthony Warlow entered the world on November 18, 1961, in Wollongong, New South Wales, and launched his stage career at age nineteen by joining the Australian Opera. Over the next six years he took leading parts in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Magic Flute, La Boheme, Die Fledermaus, The Tales of Hoffman and Don Giovanni. Warlow stepped into the role of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls during 1986, then mounted his own one-man show, A Song to Sing, the following year. He next devoted four years to portraying Enjolras in Les Miserables before issuing his debut solo album, Centre Stage, in 1990. After finishing his run as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, he received a lymphoma diagnosis, overcame the illness, and re-emerged in 1993 with the album Back in the Swing plus a concert tour. A period playing Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady came before the 1995 appearance of Midnight Dreaming. He later performed in The Secret Garden and Grease, then released the album Back in the Swing in 2000.
