Ardalan

Ardalan, an electronic producer and DJ, crafts hypnotic house tracks that emphasize deep bass and crisp, driving kicks. Born and raised in Tehran, he later relocated to the United States, where he cultivated a taste for electronic, rhythm-focused sounds spanning Daft Punk to Portishead. Drawn to the Dirtybird label, he gained entry to the collective once his demos were accepted. The 2010 release of “Mr. Spock,” a collaboration with Justin Martin, marked his first major success. Additional partnerships with Martin yielded “Lezgo” in 2011 and “Wheelgunner” in 2012. While cultivating recognition through live sets, mixes, and dubs, he completed his debut EP, The Yeah/No, in 2014. The single “Function” appeared the following year, and his second EP, Thunderdad, arrived in 2016.
