Art Department

In 2009 electro-techno veterans Kenny Glasgow and Jonny White joined forces in Toronto to establish the house duo Art Department. Their partnership originated after Damian Lazarus commissioned the roommates to rework Riz MC's "Don't Sleep" for Crosstown Rebels. The pair quickly recognized an easy creative rapport that streamlined their studio work, prompting further sessions that yielded the 2010 summer hit single "Without You," an unexpected success across dancefloors and global charts. Capitalizing on that momentum, Glasgow and White swiftly produced additional material that formed the core of their 75-minute debut album The Drawing Board, issued to strong acclaim in 2011. Early 2013 saw the release of their Social Experiment mix album, followed by the 2014 arrival of their second studio album Natural Selection. After Glasgow's subsequent exit, White was confirmed to carry on Art Department alone.
