Huxley

Growing up immersed in garage music, the British producer known as Huxley carried his affinity for profound, gritty basslines into his teenage foray into music production, though he balanced this with ethereal, soul-infused melodies that distinguished his house tracks amid a saturated scene. Michael Dodman, who was born and brought up in Tring, England, first emerged in 2009 through collaborative EPs crafted alongside the British house producer Tim Hopgood, better known as Ethyl. Their joint releases appeared on imprints such as Cécille Numbers and Tsuba, after which Huxley pursued solo endeavors on the latter label via the 2010 Purple EP. In 2013 he aligned with the Aus imprint for the EPs The Machine and Inkwell. The following year saw Aus issue his inaugural full-length Blurred, boasting a contribution from S-Man, otherwise recognized as Roger Sanchez.
