Ary

Born in Trondheim, Norwegian vocalist and composer Ary—whose full name is Ariadne Loinsworth—crafts introspective electro-pop. At twenty she secured management and relocated to Oslo, where she began collaborating with various producers. Her first single, “Higher,” emerged in mid-2015 on Eskimo Recordings after Carl Louis handled its production; NRK radio quickly added the track to its playlist. That year she also contributed vocals to Louis’s Warner debut album, Telescope. Expanding her touring ensemble, Ary then signed with Petroleum Records and Toothfairy, issuing the single “The Sea” in September 2016. The track became the theme song for the popular NRK series Nobel, which launched the same month. Early in 2017 Coucheron produced “Childhood Dreams,” and by September the follow-up single “Already There” appeared.
