Biography
Audra Mae, a vocalist known for her soulful delivery, crafts songs that blend country, blues, and rock elements, often favoring an earthy and acoustic sound. Hailing originally from Oklahoma, she is the great-grandniece of Judy Garland through her maternal lineage. Following her move to Los Angeles in 2004, Mae established herself as a songwriter by securing a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell. Her first EP, titled Haunt, came out in 2009, the same year her rendition of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" featured in the FX series Sons of Anarchy, which centers on a motorcycle gang. She followed up the next year with her initial full-length release, The Happiest Lamb. Mae's second album, Audra Mae & the Almighty Sound, arrived in 2012.
