Auras

Emerging from Waterloo, Ontario, the Canadian metal quartet Auras fuses a forceful approach that draws on groove-infused djent, melodic metalcore, and balanced progressive metal textures. The group formed in 2010 around guitarists Josh Ligaya and Aaron Hallman, vocalist Eric Almeida, and drummer Nathan Bulla, then self-released its debut EP, Panacea, in 2013. Their follow-up EP, Crestfallen, surfaced in 2015 and attracted eOne, which issued the band's first full-length album, Heliospectrum, the next year, while the sophomore long-player Binary Garden appeared in August 2019.
