Biography
West Coast rapper Bad Azz remains relatively obscure despite collaborations with major figures in hip-hop such as Snoop Dogg, Warren G., and Tupac Shakur. His entry into the scene began in Long Beach, where he performed at house parties before becoming a member of the LBC Crew. Upon going solo, he briefly aligned with Snoop Doggy Dogg’s imprint Doggy Style Records, though the arrangement dissolved soon afterward. Left without a home, he sustained his presence through guest spots on assorted releases until securing a deal with Priority Records. There, at age 23, he issued his debut solo project Word on Tha Street. Three years afterward came the follow-up Personal Business in 2001.
