JT The Bigga Figga

The San Francisco rapper JT the Bigga Figga drew substantial underground attention after the 1993 self-release of his LP Playaz n' the Game. A bidding war among major labels followed, leading him to sign with Priority and deliver the 1995 album Dwellin' in tha Labb. Don't Stop til We Major appeared the next year, after which he resurfaced in 1997 with Game Tight. Early 2001 brought the arrival of Game for Sale. His Get Low label intensified its output in 2002, issuing four JT projects: Know About It with Tha Gamblaz, Gotta Get It with Juvenile, Hustle Relentless, and the guest star-filled Street Warz. The double CD Project Poetry reached stores in 2003, while Neighborhood Superstarz and Who Grind Like Us? both arrived in 2005.
