Biography
Originating from the West Coast, Andre Nickatina favors old-school rhymes paired with lo-fi beats. Simultaneous releases of Cocaine Raps and Raven in My Eyes appeared on the Dogday imprint, yet a trio of albums—1999’s Tears of a Clown along with 2000’s These R the Tales and Daiquiri Factory Cocaine Raps—established Nickatina within the West Coast scene. Emerging during a stretch widely viewed as his peak creative phase, these works were followed in 2003 by the ambitious CD-and-movie project Conversation With a Devil.
