Originating from Mesillas Concordia in Mexico’s vibrant Sinaloa region, the popular banda outfit La Banda San Jose de Mesillas assembled in March 1990. With a roster exceeding fifteen members, the ensemble quickly established itself as a seasoned presence throughout the regional Mexican scene. After multiple releases on EMI International, the California-based collective ventured onto independent terrain via La Sierra Records, issuing Para Conquistarte in 2007 and Como la Palma di Mano the following year.

At that juncture the group adopted the name La Adictiva Banda San José De Mesillas while retaining its established musical approach; Corridos Adictivos served as its inaugural project under the revised identity and simultaneously concluded the La Sierra association in 2009.

Later the same year the band aligned with Sony, delivering Viva la Sinaloense in August 2010. Nada Iguales appeared in October 2011, succeeded by Pasado Es Pasado in 2012.

By then La Adictiva Banda San José De Mesillas had solidified its status as a consistent radio and chart presence, simultaneously emerging as a major touring attraction across Mexico and the United States, especially along the West Coast and throughout the Southwest extending into Texas.

The 2013 best-of compilation Muchas Gracias preceded the 2014 hit single “Un Fin en Culiacan.” During an international tour that July the full-length Disfrute Enganartes reached stores; both the single and the album registered within the top ten of multiple regional Mexican charts.
