Banda Tierra Sagrada comprises 17 musicians devoted to material from leading figures in regional Mexican songwriting. The Mazatlan-based ensemble originated in 2011 as an offshoot of the established La Banda Tierra Santa, devoting nearly two years to rehearsals alongside live appearances throughout Mexico. Its signature chorus-driven vocal approach, initially spotlighting three shared lead singers, sustained extensive regional gigs before the 2013 release of the debut album De Lo Bueno, Lo Mejor on Discos Sabinas. Themes centered on everyday men embracing luxury possessions and female companionship found particular favor among younger listeners. The opening singles “La Buena y la Mala,” “Anestesiado,” and “Te Sobra” gained solid radio traction, while their videos quickly became YouTube hits.

ReMex/Select-O-Hits became the label home for the 2014 split album Reto de Éxitos ReMex, recorded with La Trakalosa de Monterrey and featuring five selections from the prior release, which translated into still wider airplay. That year also brought Cesar Arturo Navarro—already established as a solo artist in the Sinaloan banda circuit—into the front line alongside Christian Sol, Antonio Arvizo, and Pancho Uresti. The resulting Así Te Quiero Yo succeeded on both radio and sales charts, expanding public awareness of Banda Tierra Sagrada. Four singles simultaneously appeared on airplay and Hot Latin Songs charts, including “Soy un Desmadre” featuring La Numero 1 Banda Jerez de Marco A. Flores. Uresti soon launched a solo career, yet the group earned a nomination for Billboard New Artist of the Year, an award ultimately presented to J. Balvin.

Short breaks from touring permitted the quick completion of Seguimos la Fiesta in 2015; the album surfaced in November and already carried three singles onto the airplay and Hot Latin Songs charts by December, among them “No Prometo Nada.” Entre Amigos y Enemigos followed in 2016, with the single “No Te Quisiste Arriesgar” arriving the next year.
