Biography
Killo Torres established Banda San Miguel in 1985 and oversaw the release of its debut album the next year. Momentum from those early efforts secured a contract with a regional label in 1989. The ensemble soon ascended Mexican charts through “La Vaquilla Colorada” and “Tus Desprecios,” then reached the summit in 1990 with the single “Disco Rayado.” Its first appearances across the United States took place the following year. Banda San Miguel earned its initial gold record in 1994.
