Bjørn Eidsvåg

Since the 1970s, Norwegian singer and songwriter Bjørn Eidsvåg has remained a fixture in the Nordic pop landscape. He entered the world in 1954 in Sauda, Norway, and has divided his efforts between fronting his own projects and supporting other musicians from behind the scenes. An ordained Lutheran minister, Eidsvåg weaves references to his Christian faith into his lyrics, yet he consistently frames these themes in an open-minded manner that invites reflection and challenges the structures of organized religion. His catalog comprises numerous albums, the first of which, Inn for Landing, appeared in 1976.
