Biography
DumDum Boys trace their roots to Trondheim, Norway, where the group first emerged in the 1970s under the punk name Wannskraekk. Around 1985 the band adopted a new identity borrowed from an Iggy Pop song and moved toward a straightforward rock approach. Their debut album, Blodig Alvor (Na Na Na Na Na), arrived in 1988 and quickly gained recognition as a cornerstone of Norwegian rock. Since then DumDum Boys have issued numerous additional records while sustaining a steady schedule of live performances.
