Late in 1995 the Swedish punk band Bombshell Rocks assembled in Västerås, its founding lineup built around singer Mårten Cedergran, guitarists Richard Andersson and Sami, bassist Mini, and drummer Chrille. The group had previously operated under the name Down and Out. Thomas Falk took over the drum chair after Chrille stepped aside to devote more time to skateboarding, and the revised unit self-released its debut EP, Who's the Real Bastard?, shortly thereafter. Sami departed following the release of the band’s next single; guitarist Thomas came aboard in time to track the 1998 album Underground Radio. Street Art Gallery surfaced the following year, after which Andersson exited, and January 2001 brought the release of City Rats and Alleycats. By then the roster had stabilized around Cedergran, Falk, guitarists Ola Hjelmberg and Crippe Määtä, and bassist Mathias Lind. Andersson returned in early 2002, displacing Hjelmberg, and the third album, From Here and On, appeared before the year closed. Cedergran then left to focus on his work as a tattoo artist, leaving the remaining members to continue as a quartet with Andersson assuming vocal duties. Sailor's Grave issued The Conclusion in April 2006.
