Hailing from Sweden, Bosson—pronounced B Sahn—seeks to align with established pop stars through a playful persona suited to winning over teenage fans. His approach blends funky hip-hop grooves with understated techno pulses, yielding a Euro-dance club aesthetic, while he also delivers ballads in the vein of 98 Degrees.

Raised in the same town as Ace of Base, he began singing at age six and appeared at local festivals. As a teenager he encountered Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and Babyface, then strove to hone his vocal technique until it rivaled theirs.

Recording began in the late '90s; the import release We Live scored substantial success abroad, prompting U.S. radio exposure and a Capitol Records contract. Early in 2000, despite prompt American critiques, Bosson obtained tour dates with Britney Spears and LFO, performed on the Jenny Jones Show, and served as Access Hollywood's guest host for the 2000 Grammy Awards. His debut American album, One in a Million, appeared later that year.
