Breach

The Bristol, England multi-instrumentalist Ben Westbeech records under the house-oriented alias Breach. Six years after his given name appeared on the inaugural release from Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, he first deployed the pseudonym for his own productions. Breach singles surfaced on the Pattern imprint of RAMP Recordings during the summers of both 2010 and 2011. Summer 2012 saw the launch of his independent Naked Naked label, which issued “You Won’t Find Love Again” and “101” before December arrived. February 2013 yielded an inventive and moody collaboration with the London-based trio Dark Sky. The more commercial “Jack,” however, which appeared the same year on San Francisco’s Dirtybird Records, delivered Breach a U.K. Top Ten single.
