Brian Wright

Brian Wright, an intelligent and thoughtful songwriter, came into the world in Mclennan County, Texas, close to the highway and the trains—a circumstance he has himself noted, which might account for his ease while traveling. He devoted his twenties to regular performances along the Austin/Dallas bar circuit before relocating westward to Los Angeles, where he became a familiar figure in that scene through his band, Brian Wright & the Waco Tragedies. Following the release of his first two albums, Bluebird and Dog Ears, Wright earned critical notice with his third, House on Fire, which appeared in 2011, and two years afterward issued the comparably strong Rattle Their Chain.
