Cadillac Muzik

San Antonio outfit Cadillac Muzik crafts funky, musical, and uplifting hip-hop rooted in the lineage of OutKast. Their recording career began in 2012, reached the Billboard rankings for the first time via the 2018 full-length Lac Gospel, and advanced further with the free-spirited Groove Nation EP that arrived the year after.

Childhood friends Beseja "CaddyMack" Moses and Scott "DaddyDvill" Campbell started writing, producing, and rapping together as teenagers in the early 2000s while part of the Texas Hardknocks collective. Drawing from Southern rap icons including OutKast, 8Ball & MJG, and fellow Texans UGK, along with numerous soul, funk, and earlier hip-hop acts, they established Cadillac Muzik in 2010 to champion good times and personal expression. The duo’s initial releases, Cadillac Muzik and Funkyland, appeared in 2012 and 2014. Activity resumed in 2018 with Lac Gospel, which entered Billboard’s R&B Album Sales chart. Moses and Campbell returned the following year with Groove Nation; the EP outperformed their prior efforts on the commercial front, landing on multiple Billboard tallies such as Heatseekers and Independent Albums.
