Young Roddy

Louisiana rapper Young Roddy, affiliated with the Jet Life crew while also working independently, first surfaced on Curren$y's 2010 release Pilot Talk. Curren$y highlighted the Jet Life roster the following year via the street release Jet Life to the Next Life, credited jointly to Young Roddy and Trademark da Skydiver. Jet Life Recordings issued Roddy's opening mixtape Good Sense in 2012, after which Good Sense II appeared in 2013 and the street release Legal Dealing followed in 2014. His 2015 album Kenner Loop carried guest spots from Curren$y, Styles P, and Smoke DZA. Throughout 2016 Roddy unveiled two further mixtapes that included Good Sense 3, along with the collaborative album Family Business alongside Trademark Da Skydiver, which spotlighted Kevin Gates on the single "DFA."
