Biography
A jazz and pop vocalist born February 28, 1962, in Stockholm, Sweden, Caroline Henderson relocated to Copenhagen in 1983 and quickly established herself among Denmark’s leading performers. Her initial brush with recognition arrived in 1989 through the short-lived ensemble RayDeeOh, which she shared with Maria Bramsen. Once that project dissolved, Henderson pursued an independent path and issued her debut solo album, Cinemataztic, in 1995 while simultaneously expanding into television, film, and stage roles. The follow-up, Metamorphing, reached listeners in 1998; five further releases followed within the next decade—Dolores J in 2000, NAOS in 2002, Don’t Explain in 2003, Made in Europe in 2004, and Love or Nothin’ in 2007—each extending the momentum of the previous work. In March 2008 she unveiled her eighth album, No. 8, which climbed into Denmark’s Top Five. Beyond chart results, Henderson received Denmark’s Grammy for Best Vocal Recording in 2007 in recognition of her contributions to Love or Nothin’.
