Formed in Montreal during 2015, Caveboy crafts atmospheric, danceable tracks that merge '80s synth influences with dreamy indie electronica and stately pop. The group issued its first recording that year via the EP Caveboy.

Previously operating as Diamond Bones, the band includes Michelle Bensimon on lead vocals, guitar, and synths, Isabelle Banos on bass, synths, and backing vocals, and Lana Cooney on drums and backing vocals. Mid-2015 brought their initial single “In the Grottos,” followed several months later by the self-titled debut EP. Over the next three years, selected tracks received licensing for television series such as Orange Is the New Black and Wynonna Earp, while the group supported live dates for acts including Cub Sport, Tash Sultana, and Rich Aucoin. Early 2018 saw Caveboy complete its first headlining Canadian tour, after which the members performed at the CBC Music Festival and entered the studio to track their debut LP with producer Derek Hoffman (Arkells, Seaway). The trio resurfaced in 2019 with singles that included “Landslide” and “I Wonder.”
