Chris Travis

Originating from Memphis, Chris Travis produces hazy, narcotic trap shaped by the sounds of Three 6 Mafia, Tommy Wright III, and Boosie Badazz. Initial attention arrived after he entered SpaceGhostPurrp’s Raider Klan in 2011 on the recommendation of Amber London and Key Nyata. Contributions to several of the crew’s mixtapes and shared stage appearances defined that period, though he stepped away around 2013 to prioritize solo output and his Water Boyz label. Roughly four mixtapes emerged each year, one of them distinguished by the 2013 viral clip “Crunch Time.” In 2014 Travis united with ex-Raider Klan members Xavier Wulf and Eddy Baker plus Michigan-based rapper Bones to launch Seshollowaterboyz. A 2014 EP titled SeaBeds resulted from his work with Bones, while 2015 brought the joint project No Trespassing with Robb Bank$. Guest spots also surfaced on tracks by Yung Simmie, $uicideboy$, and Fat Nick.
