Xavier Beard came into the world in Memphis, Tennessee during 1992. Early on he took up rapping, drawn especially to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. From his bedroom he began crafting tracks and circulating them across online platforms, reaching a point of total absorption in recording and live performance before his teenage years concluded. Initially releasing material as Ethelwulf, he received an invitation to join the Raider Klan collective alongside SpaceGhostPurrp, Muney Junior, Jitt, and additional members. His first mixtape, The Wolf Gang's Rodolphe, appeared in 2012, followed in short order by numerous further mixtapes and joint projects. Creative differences prompted his departure from Raider Klan in early 2013. Although he issued work under various aliases, he settled on Xavier Wulf as his primary name and maintained a relentless output of new recordings throughout the ensuing years. Tracks with Bones and Chris Travis emerged during this period, together with multiple mixtapes and the more deliberate full-length Project X, which arrived in 2015. Across these projects Xavier Wulf continued to broaden his approach, shifting away from the shadowy, throwback textures of his initial efforts toward unexplored terrain.
