Biography
Hailing from California's San Fernando Valley, Andrew Adolph—born in 1991—first made his mark on the local hardcore circuit as the bassist for metal outfit Betrayal. After releasing three albums with the group, he pivoted in the late 2010s to emceeing, unveiling a trio of early mixtapes that included Key Stone Prince in 2017 and Big Juice tha Sip the following year. His approach blended raw depictions of sex, drugs, and violence with candid self-examination, drawing listeners who responded to that same intensity in his growing circle of associates such as Pouya, Fat Nick, Mikey the Magician, and Germ.
The New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ took note and brought him aboard their G59 label in 2020. Shakewell's first full-length project under the imprint, Pray 4 Shakewell, surfaced in 2022 and included guest spots from Fat Nick and Boobie Lootaveli. A year later he reached the Billboard 200 for the first time via the joint EP Shameless $uicide, which entered at number 50.
