Biography
In 2015 Clark Beckham, the Nashville-based singer and songwriter, first drew widespread attention by securing second place on season 14 of American Idol. Before auditioning for the program, the artist—already recognized for his introspective approach to blue-eyed soul—had issued two acoustic EPs, one in 2013 and another in 2014. Throughout the competition he frequently interpreted classic soul and R&B material, including Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind,” Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” and Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.”
