Corook serves as the creative alias for Corinne Savage, a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. The project surfaced in 2021 via the witty and perceptive alt-pop track "Sims," featured on the debut EP Achoo, which arrived the following year. In 2023 the viral sensation "If I Were a Fish" emerged.

Pittsburgh provided the backdrop for Savage’s upbringing, where early musical development took shape first at a performing arts high school and subsequently at Berklee College of Music. Relocation to Nashville occurred in the early twenties, after which Savage began sharing song fragments across social platforms. The official debut single, 2021’s "Sims," accumulated millions of streams and drew Atlantic’s interest, resulting in a label signing. Subsequent releases included the streaming successes "IDK God" and "Bad Friend," all three songs appearing together on the 2022 EP Achoo. Building on that momentum, Savage issued two additional singles later that year—"BDSM" and "It’s OK!" In 2023 the outsider anthem "If I Were a Fish," recorded with Olivia Barton, achieved widespread viral attention.
