Corroded

Formed in 2004, the Swedish heavy metal and post-grunge group Corroded takes stylistic cues from Machine Head, Black Sabbath, and Disturbed. The act scored its first major commercial breakthrough in 2009 after the single “Time and Again” was selected as the theme for season 10 of Expedition Robinson, the Swedish edition of the reality series Survivor. That same year the band issued its debut album, Eleven Shades of Black, which climbed to the top of the national charts largely on the momentum of the aforementioned track. The follow-up full-length, Exit to Transfer, appeared in 2010 and peaked at number six on Sweden’s official album chart; one of its cuts, “Age to Rage,” later served as the theme song for EA Games’ Battlefield Play4Free. Corroded returned with the third album, State of Disgrace, in 2013, then delivered Defcon Zero four years later through Despotz Records.
