Biography
In 1989 the Swedish doom metal outfit Count Raven assembled, its founding lineup consisting of vocalist Christian Linderson, guitarist Dan Fondelius, bassist Tommy Erikkson and drummer Christer Pettersson. Their debut long-player, Storm Warning, surfaced the next year on the Hellhound imprint and drew enthusiastic notices throughout the European metal press. Linderson exited shortly afterward to enter the ranks of Saint Vitus, leaving Fondelius to assume lead vocals with the arrival of 1992’s Destruction of the Void. Just twelve months later the group issued its third album, High on Infinity, then withdrew for a three-year absence before resurfacing in 1996 via Messiah of Confusion.
