Danseorkestret

Danseorkestret emerged as a Danish pop band based in Copenhagen, sustaining activity across multiple decades. The lineup of Jacob Andersen, Jørgen Klubien, and Rasmus Kaerså delivered its first full-length release in 1985 via the self-titled Danseorkestret. Later projects included Long Distance in 1987, Det Flyvende Taeppe in 1990, and Den Store Kaerlighed in 1994, after which the group issued the greatest-hits collection Danseorkestret's Største Hits in 1996. Entering the new millennium, Danseorkestret returned with Spred Vingerne Ud! in 2000, marking its initial batch of original material after an extended interval. Roughly ten years afterward came another studio album, Over Byen Under Himlen in 2009. Anchored by the Top 40 single "Du & Mig," this release signaled a strong resurgence and placed the band inside the Top Ten on the Danish albums chart.
